Billboard Bits: Jagermeister Tour, Jackson/Folds, Lillix

Groove ArmadaThe second annual Jagermeister Music Tour will begin March 6 at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, featuring co-headliners Saliva and (hed)pe, with Breaking Benjamin, Systematic, and Stereomud, Billboard Bulletin reports. The tour will run for 30 dates; a fall leg, tentatively featuring Slayer, is also planned. Last year's Jagermeister tour featured Drowning Pool and Ill Nino. Jagermeister is also a major sponsor of Ozzfest.

As previously reported, Saliva will begin a U.S. tour Tuesday (Jan. 14) in Jackson, Miss., with Breaking Benjamin and Greenwheel in tow. The group's new Island album, "Back Into Your System," is No. 66 on The Billboard 200.

Groove ArmadaVeteran piano-playing pop artist Joe Jackson will be on stage with one of his disciples tonight (Jan. 10) in New York. Jackson is expected to join Ben Folds for a trio of songs, two of his own and one of Folds' during the latter's appearance at the city's Beacon Theatre.

As previously reported, Jackson will on March 4 release "Volume 4" via Restless/Ryko. The set finds him reunited with the original Joe Jackson Band, famous for the seminal albums "Look Sharp!," "I'm the Man," and "Beat Crazy." The group is slated to kick off a U.S. tour March 14 in New Orleans.

Folds is on the road in support of the concert set "Ben Folds Live." Released in October, the set debuted at No. 60 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 67,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. He'll close his U.S. tour tomorrow in Providence, R.I., and head to Japan early next month for a five-date tour.

Groove ArmadaAll-female Canadian teen rock act Lillix will release its debut Maverick album, "Falling Uphill," in May. The group can currently be heard opening the WB comedy series "What I Like About You" with a version of the Romantics' 1980 hit of the same name.

The group -- formerly known as Tigerlily -- worked on material for the album with a number of producers, including the Matrix (Avril Lavigne), Philip Steir (No Doubt), Glen Ballard (Alanis Morissette, Dave Matthews Band), Linda Perry (Pink), and John Shanks (Michelle Branch). "It's About Time" will be the first single. The group is expected to tour the U.S. this year behind the album's release.
