"American Idol" Did Not Meet J.Lo's Demands

Although she will receive a handsome deal for becoming a judge on "American Idol," Jennifer Lopez's demands for a $15 million pay check and guaranteed TV/film deals were not met by Fox and "Idol" producers, Deadline reports. The singer/actress, whose decision to join "Idol" as a judge was first reported in July, will receive $12 million for her spot, as well as an overall deal with Fox. The delay of the formal announcement of this season's "Idol" judges has reportedly been pushed in order to coordinate with the mid-September release of J.Lo's first single on Island Def Jam. Kanye West Booed During VMA Performance

Although Kanye West left the stage to wild applause and a "Kanye! Kanye!" chant after his performance at last night's MTV VMAs, his premiere of new track "Runaway" began with the audience booing the controversial rapper, according to Us Magazine. Although the jeers couldn't be heard on the telecast, show runners apparently had to quickly persuade friendlier fans to cheer on West and drown out his detractors. (Us)

Meat Loaf and Barry Bostwick, who starred as Eddie and Brad Majors in the 1975 classic "Rocky Horror Picture Show," will lend their talents to "Glee" next month for the show's tribute to the film, E! reports. The Oct. 26 episode has tapped Bostwick and Meat Loaf to play TV station managers who proposition Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch). Susan Sarandon is also rumored to be interested in joining in on the choral fun, but nothing official has been inked. (E! Online)
