Billboard Bits: 'Idol Gives Back,' Rites Of Spring, Yaz

Bono, Brad Pitt, Miley Cyrus, Fergie and former contestants Chris Daughtry and Carrie Underwood will join forces for the second "American Idol" charity show, which will air April 9 on Fox.

Last year's inaugural "Idol Gives Back" raised $76 million for charities such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the Global Fund, American's Second Harvest and Malaria No More.

Other acts confirmed to participate on the show include Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg, John Legend and Annie Lennox, as well as NFL stars Peyton and Eli Manning. For more information on Idol Gives Back, click here.

Feist, Spoon, Lil Jon and Colbie Caillat anchor the lineup for the Rites of Spring Music Festival, to be held April 18-19 on the campus of Vanderbilt University in Nashville. Tickets go on sale March 10 for students and the general public.

Also on the bill are Old Crow Medicine Show, the Avett Brothers, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, the Hill Country Revue (featuring members of North Mississippi Allstars) and Alana Grace. FYE is sponsoring the show.

As expected, Yaz's reunion tour will touch down in North America in July. The group will play Oakland, Calif. (Paramount Theatre), on July 7, Los Angeles (Orpheum Theatre) on July 10-11, Chicago (Chicago Theatre) on July 14, and New York (Terminal 5) on July 16-17.

Vince Clarke and Alison Moyet's Reconnected tour kicks off June 4 at the Glasgow Clyde Auditorium in Scotland. "In Your Room," a four-disc collection of remasters, remixes, B-sides, a DVD and the band's only two albums, "Upstairs at Eric's" and "You and Me Both," is also set for release in May.
