Atlantic recording artist Tori Amos gave birth to her first child, a daughter, yesterday (Sept. 5). The name of the child, also the first for her husband, Mark Hawley, has not been released. All are said to be doing well.
In a statement, Amos remarked on feeding her daughter for the first time, saying, "an ounce of breast milk is even more potent than the finest tequila."
Amos' most recent album, the half-live/half-studio "To Venus And Back," debuted at No. 12 on The Billboard 200 last October.
