Late singer/songwriter Harry Chapin will be the subject of an upcoming concert DVD, "Rockpalast Live," due Aug. 20 from Pioneer Entertainment. The show was taped in Germany in April 1977 and features such perennial favorites as "Cat's in the Cradle," "Taxi," " WOLD," and "Circle." The 96-minute video also includes the tracks "30,000 Pounds of Bananas," "I Wanna Learn a Love Song," "Shooting Star," "Dance Band on the Titanic," and "Odd Job Man," among others.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of "Rockpalast Live" will be donated to the Harry Chapin Foundation, which works to promote educational programs for disadvantaged individuals. Chapin died in a car accident on July 16, 1981, and was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Freedom for his charity work.

Jimmy Buffett flew his biplane into a runway sign at Florida's Palm Beach International Airport over the weekend, but was not injured. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) originally said a Buffett employee was at the controls of the Boeing Stearman when it collided with the sign on Saturday afternoon. The FAA told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel that the employee called the airport tower, so controllers thought the employee was the pilot.

FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said the plane was pushed off the runway by a wind gust. Buffett, who owns a home in the Town of Palm Beach, was arriving from Key West. The accident won't be investigated, she said. A spokesperson for Buffett could not be reached for comment.

Buffett's summer North American tour resumes June 18 in Cincinnati and runs through early October.

The soundtrack to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's latest direct-to-video release, "Getting There," will feature new songs from the Incredible Moses Leroy, the Weekend, Crash Palace, Ephemera, and Mirainga. The set, due Tuesday (June 11) from Dualstar/Trauma, also sports previously released tracks from the Stone Roses, Republica, and the Lunachicks, as well as Joey Ramone's cover of Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World" and Joan Jett's take on the Modern Lovers' "Roadrunner."
