"Glee" Super Bowl Episode to Open with Katy Perry's "California Gurls"

 

"Glee" will kick off its post-Super Bowl episode with a spirited take on Katy Perry's "California Gurls." In a minute-long preview that premiered this afternoon, the Cheerios perform a dance to the song complete with bikinis, bicycle stunts and fireworks-laden breasts. The episode, which will also feature a football-centric tribute to Michael Jackson's "Thriller," will air after the Super Bowl on Sunday (Feb. 6). ( EW)

 

Cee Lo Green Opening for Prince

 

Cee Lo Green has been tapped to open for Prince on his Welcome 2 America tour date next Monday (Feb. 7) at New York's Madison Square Garden. Green, whose single "F--- You" is nominated for record of the year and song of the year at this year's Grammy awards, joins previous Prince openers such as Janelle Monae, Esperanza Spalding and Sheila E. 

 

Keith Urban Shares First Baby Picture

 

Country star Keith Urban shared a picture of his and Nicole Kidman's new daughter, Faith Margaret, on the red carpet at the SAG Awards on Sunday (Jan. 30). "She looks just like [Nicole], don't you think?" Urban says of the one-month-old, who is his second child with the actress. ( Us Magazine)

 

Scala & Kolacny Brothers Releasing Debut Album March 15 


Belgian rock choir Scala & Kolacny Brothers, who soundtracked "The Social Network" trailer last fall with their cover of Radiohead's "Creep," will release their full length self-titled debut and a North American tour this spring. The album, out March 15 on ATCO, features reinterpretations of songs from Kings of Leon, Coldplay, and Nirvana, among others. After a performance at SXSW, Scala & Kolacny Brothers will kick of their North American tour on April 7.

 

Bob Seger Announces Spring Tour Dates

 

Bob Seger has announced the first dates of his spring tour: March 29 at the Dow Events Center in Saginaw, Mich. (on sale Feb. 12) and March 31 at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio (on sale Feb. 11). More shows are expected to be announced soon, as well as details about Seger's forthcoming album. 

 

Trey Songz, Bruno Mars Contributing to Valentine's Day EP

 

Atlantic/Elektra Records will celebrate Valentine's Day with "The Love EP," a five-song album featuring songs from Bruno Mars, Trey Songz, Cee Lo Green, Tank and Musiq Soulchild. The album will be released on Feb. 8 and will be made available for $3.99 on iTunes and at the Atlantic Records web store.
