Britney Recording 'Big Song' with Dr. Luke, Demos Lost in Fire

 

Britney Spears' manager wrote on her Twitter yesterday that the singer is "recording a big big BIG new song on Friday" with producers Max Martin and Dr. Luke. While the song is sure to be a "smash," producer/DJ Rusko is having a harder time creating songs for the pop star: a fire at his home yesterday destroyed all of the demos he had crafted for Spears' next album. Coldplay Playing 'Hidden Gigs' For Charity


In the week before Christmas, Coldplay will play a pair of "hidden gigs" in the UK that will raise awareness to the country's homelessness rate. Tickets will be made available on Nov. 12 and fans will not know the concert details until 24 hours before each concert. Proceeds of the show will benefit the British homeless charity Crisis. Cher, Fergie, Janelle Monae Rock Glamour's Women Of the Year Ceremony

 

Glamour magazine hosted its "2010 Women Of The Year" ceremony last night, with divas like Cher, Janet Jackson, Fergie and others in attendance. Janelle Monae performed at the ceremony, which was held at Carnegie Hall in New York. ( Idolator)

 

Christina Milian, The-Dream Reach Divorce Settlement


After deciding to call it quits earlier this year, Christina Milian and The-Dream have reached a settlement in their pending divorce, although details of the agreement are confidential. The singer and artist/producer married in Sept. 2009 and share a child. ( TMZ)

 

John Mayer Makes Awkward Speech At VH1's Save The Music Ceremony


During VH1's Save The Music Foundation ceremony last night, John Mayer delivered an awkward speech in which he refused to use a teleprompter. "I'm making a fool out of myself," said the guitarist, who told an uncomfortable tale about vaginal birth before speaking out against child bullying. ( PopEater)

 

Jane's Addiction Planning New Album For Early 2011

 

According to guitarist Dave Navarro, Jane's Addiction is planning on releasing the follow-up to 2003's "Strays" in early 2011. "We're actually writing quite a bit and getting ready to go into the studio in December," says Navarro. Chris Chaney is reportedly playing bass on the band's fourth studio album, replacing Eric Avery. ( Spinner)
