Black Keys Have "No Plans" To Release "Blakroc 2"
Despite a teaser trailer that hit the web earlier this month, the Black Keys have announced that there are no plans to release "Blakroc 2," the sequel to their 2009 rap-focused side project. Drummer Patrick Carney admitted that "there was a trailer that was made like two years ago without our permission that was re-circulated again without our permission." However, the Black Keys are indeed wrapping up their new record with producer Danger Mouse. ( MTV)

 

Steven Tyler: Aerosmith Album Targeted for Spring 2012
After performing at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, Steven Tyler gave an update on Aerosmith's long-awaited next album, which he says could be out by March. "Two months doing that and we're almost there," Tyler says. "We're gonna spend another month in L.A." ( Rolling Stone)

 

Adele's "Someone Like You" Video Coming Thursday
The official video for "Someone Like You," the second single from Adele's wildly successful sophomore album, "21," will premiere on MTV and Vevo.com at 7:56pm EDT this Thursday (Sept. 29). After she performed the track on the MTV Video Music Awards last month, the ballad shot to No. 1 on the Hot 100. Adele's return to the East Coast for a 10-city tour begins on Oct. 7th in Atlantic City, NJ.

 

The Cure To Play First Three Albums Live In London, Los Angeles, And New York
After performing their first three albums in full earlier this year, The Cure have announced seven more shows where they'll be playing through their 1979 debut "Three Imaginary Boys," 1980's "Seventeen Seconds," and 1981's "Faith." Although the band previously said the "Reflections" event would be the last chance to see these performances, dates are set for November 15 in London, November 21-23 in Los Angeles, and November 25-27 for New York City. Bret Michaels Launching Pet Products Line
Bret Michaels is launching, "Bret Michaels Pets Rock," a line of pet products, in summer 2012. "As a dedicated pet owner myself, this is a natural partnership for me, and I can't wait to unveil the collection," says the Poison frontman in a statement. "I know my own pets rock, and I wanted to design a line of pet products every bit as fun and cool as they are."  ( Business Wire)
