Billboard Bits: Black Eyed Peas, Feist, Mice Parade

The Black Eyed Peas, Nas, Common, John Legend, Macy Gray, Sergio Mendes and Frankie J will perform tomorrow night (Feb. 8) at the third annual Peapod Foundation Benefit at Hollywood club Avalon. Mary J. Blige, Wyclef Jean and Daddy Yankee are also expected to be on hand.

The event will honor Interscope Geffen A&M chairman Jimmy Iovine with the first Peapod Foundation Award for Achievement in Musical Leadership. Proceeds will benefit the Los Angeles youth organization Peace4Kids and help fund the Black Eyed Peas Peapod Music and Arts Academy.

Canadian singer/songwriter Feist will unveil her next album, "The Reminder," April 23 internationally and May 1 in Canada and the United States via Cherry Tree/Interscope, according to her
Web site. It's the follow-up to 2005's "Let It Die," which reached No. 36 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart.

Feist has lined up a handful of European shows in support of the album, beginning April 16 in London. Additional North American dates are in the works.

Adam Pierce, aka electronica artist Mice Parade, is preparing to release his seventh, self-titled album via Fat Cat in May. The new effort will include collaborations with mum's Kristin Anna, who also contributed to 2005's "Bem-Vinda Vontade," Stereolab's Laetitia Sadier, Lansing-Dreiden's Jay Israelson and Dylan Cristy of Dylan Group.

The project was recorded at Pierce's new studio in upstate New York after he moved operations from Brooklyn. The artist is plotting a tour for the U.S. and Japan starting in May.
