Beyonce's Parents Not Divorcing; Britney's Parents Reconcile


A pair of pop stars have watched their parents undergo recent relationship changes. Matthew and Tina Knowles, the mother and father of Beyonce, are no longer getting divorced after a Texas judge dismissed their case yesterday, although it is unclear whether or not the couple has reconciled. Meanwhile, Britney Spears' parents, Lynne and Jamie, are reportedly getting back together after divorcing eight years ago. ( TMZ, People)

 

Elton John To Edit British Newspaper

 

Elton John will guest edit the Dec. 1 issue of British newspaper "The Independent" for a special World AIDS Day Issues. Proceeds from circulation of the issue will benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation. "I'm really looking forward to spending a day in the editor's chair," said the singer. (NME)

 

Taylor Swift Admits to Giving Bad Boy Advice

 

In the most recent issue of Allure Magazine, Taylor Swift admits that she has given her friends horrible boy advice about boys. "I'd tell my friends things like, 'Don't accept that apology! That isn't sincere!' or 'He hung out with his ex-girlfriend? Get rid of him.'" explains the country star, who adds that she now uses the complexity of most relationships for songwriting inspiration.  (Popeater)

 

Wavves, Best Coast Record Christmas Song


California surf-rock groups Wavves and Best Coast -- whose leaders, Nathan Williams and Bethany Cosentino, are dating -- have recorded a Christmas song together for a compilation being released exclusively by Target. "Got Something for You" will be released on "The Christmas Gig" on Nov. 28 and precedes the groups' co-headlining tour, which kicks off Jan. 21 in San Diego. ( Pitchfork)

 

Flavor Flav Announces Specialty Liquor Line


Flavor Flav is gearing up to release his own line of alcohol. "I've got the Flavor Flav flavored vodkas and a range of wine coming with my lyrics on the back," Flav said who's real name is William Drayton. The Public Enemy hypeman is also planning to create a brand of fast food chicken: "It's called FFC and the Colonel better watch out," he says. ( Daily Star)

 

Redman and Method Man Talk 'Blackout! 3'

 

Method Man and Redman revealed that the third installment of their "Blackout!" collaboration albums will likely be arriving in the summer of 2011. The rappers talked about the album in London while promoting the video game "Def Jam Rapstar" as well as Redman's forthcoming album, "Reggie." ( Rap Radar)
