Beyoncé Spends $14,000 In 90 Minutes On London Shopping Spree
When is it OK to drop more than $14,000 on clothes? When you're Beyoncé and you have 90 minutes to spare, apparently. The superstar went shopping with her mom (and an entourage, of course) in London yesterday, dropping about £9,000 on clothes at Topshop and Selfridges. The Daily Mail reported that the singer didn't even try the clothes on, and sped through the racks like Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman." (NY Mag)

Red Hot Chili Peppers to Release New Single July 18
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced the name and release date of the first single from their upcoming tenth studio album, "I'm With You." "The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie" will continue the band's now two-song streak of weirdly named singles (following 2007's "Hump de Bump") and will be released to radio stations and digital retailers on Monday, July 18. Odd Future, X, Okkervil River to Play Fun Fun Fun Fest
Annual Austin, Texas music festival Fun Fun Fun Fest announced part of its lineup today through an online scavenger hunt. Users were able to watch a YouTube video (also below) and match clues to a nautical flag chart, revealing that Odd Future, Brian Posehn, Okkervil River, M83 and X would be performing at Auditorium Shores, Nov. 4-6. Discounted Fun 2 tickets will go onsale at the Fun Fun Fun Fest website next Thursday (July 21).

Trent Reznor Tells Fans Not To Buy 'Pretty Hate Machine' Re-Release
Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor is not afraid to speak out publicly against his label, at least when he thinks they're trying to scam his fans. The singer-songwriter tweeted today, "NIN fans, don't waste your money on this version of PHM that was just released," with a link to the NIN catalog website. He also posted, "A record label bullsh-t move repackaging the old version. Ignore please." Reznor is referring to NIN's debut 1989 "Pretty Hate Machine" album, originally released on TVT Records.

Converse's Free Recording Studio, Rubber Tracks, Opens
Today Converse Inc. officially announced the opening of its Brooklyn recording studio, Converse Rubber Tracks, which allows artists to sign up and record songs for free. Converse announced the studio last fall, and bands were able to apply for studio time on the Converse website until May 31. New York and New Jersey artists Aabaraki, Majuscules, G.I.C. & Funk Face, Andre Henry and Super Rocket Car were selected as the first musicians to begin recording this summer. Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page Launches Website, Packed With Exclusive Content
Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page launched his official website, JimmyPage.com, this morning. The site includes a daily diary of events in Page's career, spanning from the '60s into present day. Each entry is accompanied with a personal anecdote of Jimmy's, only available until 8 a.m. EST tomorrow (July 15). Unseen photos, unreleased tracks, demos, home recordings and video footage will all be available on the site, and many more features are to come in the future. Page himself reportedly contributed to the production and design of the site.
