Billboard Bits: Bamboozle, The Clientele, J.R. Rotem

My Chemical Romance and Linkin Park are the first bands confirmed for the 2007 Bamboozle festival at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, N.J. My Chemical Romance will headline the first night on May 5, while Linkin Park will anchor the lineup the following evening. Tickets are on sale now via the event's Web site.

In 2006, Bamboozle expanded to include a West Coast edition, which was held in Pomona, Calif., and featured performances from Dashboard Confessional, Brand New, Yellowcard and Thrice, among others.

U.K. indie rock outfit the Clientele is putting the finishing touches on its fourth album, Billboard.com has learned. The set is tentatively due in April via Merge and titled "God Save the Clientele." It was recorded this fall in Nashville by Mark Nevers (Lambchop, Silver Jews) and will once again boast string arrangements from Louis Phillipe.

Producer Jonathan "J.R." Rotem has established his own label, Beluga Heights, which will be distributed and marketed by Epic. Rotem's manager Zach Katz compares the deal to Dr. Dre's arrangement with Interscope, whereby Rotem will "be the musical ear and face of the label."

Rotem, who has shot to fame producing tracks for the Game, Rihanna and Rick Ross, is now working with Beluga Heights' debut artist, Miami rapper Sean Kingston.
