Adele Postpones Tour Dates Due to Laryngitis
Adele has announced the postponement of five North American tour dates due to laryngitis, according to a message on her official website. The singer's show on Sunday night (May 29) was postponed last minute as her illness worsened, and upcoming shows in Vancouver, Seattle and Portland will be rescheduled. Adele's trek resumes June 4 in San Francisco. ( Adele's Official Website)

 

NBC's 'The Voice' Lands Post-Super Bowl Slot
NBC will air "The Voice" after the Super Bowl in February. An hourlong episode will air Sunday, Feb. 5 following the network's telecast of Super Bowl XLVI, Bob Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment announced Tuesday. "There is no better showcase on television than to follow the Super Bowl, and we believe 'The Voice' is deserving of such high-profile exposure," said Greenblatt in a statement. ( THR)

 

Jennifer Lopez Previews '¡Q'Viva!' in New Promo
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have offered a promo video previewing their upcoming Latin America-focused reality talent show, "¡Q'Viva! The Chosen." In the clip, the "Idol" judge says that the crew will find talent in festivals and dance studios, and calls the show "the biggest thing that I've been involved with yet." (People)


Christina Aguilera's New Music Inspired by 'Crazy Year'
Although she's busy serving as a vocal coach on "The Voice," Christina Aguilera confirmed that she is working on her fifth studio album during an appearance on "Live! with Regis and Kelly." "I'm diving in right now as I'm shooting the show," she said. "I have so much great material this time around, coming from the crazy year I've had, and experiencing ['Burlesque'] and experiencing so much on different levels," (Idolator)

 

Beanie Sigel Ends Feud with Jay-Z
A year and a half after dissing Jay-Z, Philadelphia rapper Beanie Sigel apologizes to Hov in a new interview. "Whatever I felt this dude Jay did wrong to me, it can't outweigh the one thing he did do for me - he gave me an opportunity," he says. "I got caught in the moment and put my feelings out there. Tampa Bay Rays Apologize for Avril Lavigne Rant
The Tampa Bay Rays baseball organization has issued a statement apologizing for an incident on Saturday in which Avril Lavigne threw out the first pitch and let some profanities fly when the crowd started booing. "The Rays demand profanity-free performances from all of our concert performers and we are extremely disappointed by the language used in last night's show," the statement reads. ( THR)
