Abigail Breslin Unveils Singing Debut, "Fight For Me'

Actress Abigail Breslin, best known for her role in "Little Miss Sunshine," has made her singing debut with "Fight For Me" a song that will appear on the soundtrack to her upcoming film, "Janie Jones." "I was asked to do the movie and they asked me if I would sing and I said yes. I have never done that before, so I was so nervous," says Breslin. The 15-year-old will perform the song with "Janie Jones" co-star Alessandro Nivola following the film's premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York tonight (Apr. 29). Odd Future Diss Prince William and Kate During UK Show
While all of the U.K. was abuzz with Prince William and Catherine Middleton's royal wedding this morning, Odd Future weren't too supportive during an afternoon show at Village Underground. Group leader Tyler, the Creator called Kate a "b***h" and Prince William a "f****t." ( The Hip-Hop Chronicle)

 

The Strokes, Girl Talk to Rock Sweetlife Festival This Sunday
Before you see them at Bonnaroo this June, the Strokes and Girl Talk are headlining the 2011 Sweetlife Festival this weekend, along with Lupe Fiasco, Crystal Castles, Cold War Kids and others. The festival is set for this Sunday at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Washington, D.C.

 

Dwayne Johnson Starring in Charley Pride Biopic
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will produce and star in a biopic of black country music star Charley Pride. The still-untitled film does not have a release date. In the meantime, Johnson's latest action opus, "Fast Five," opens today (Apr. 29). ( Variety)

 

Pearl Jam Debut Documentary Trailer
Director Cameron Crowe has unveiled the first trailer for his Pearl Jam documentary, "PJ20," which will hit theaters in September. The 30-second clip consists of homemade video footage that shows how Pearl Jam got their band name after initially going with Mookie Blaylock. ( Spin)


Frank Ocean Goes On Anti-Police Rant After Arrest
Following an unspecified run-in with the police on Thursday night, R&B singer and Odd Future member Frank Ocean lashed out at the LAPD on Twitter. "I swear if i weren't sane in mind I'd throw a fuckin molotov in a cop car right now," he wrote. (@frank_ocean)
