Bennett Autobiography Traces A 'Good Life'

Tony Bennett chronicles his 50 years in the music business in "The Good Life," an autobiography the acclaimed crooner is penning with journalist Will Friedwald. Due in stores the first week of November, the Pocket Book traces Bennett's career from his friendships and collaborations with Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra, and Ella Fitzgerald to his recent rebirth as an icon for the MTV generation.

As earlier reported, Bennett will also release a children's album, "The Playground," Sept. 29 on Columbia. Included on the recording are duets with Sesame Street's Elmo, talk show hostess Rosie O'Donnell, and Muppet Kermit the Frog. Bennett, who be playing assorted European festivals through mid-July, will embark on a North American tour Aug. 6 in Rama, Ontario.
