'Bachelor,' Label Win Legal Round

Bob Guiney, best known for his stint on "The Bachelor," and Wind-Up Records have won the first round in their legal battle against And Syndication Productions (ASP), producers of the ABC reality television series. On Dec. 29, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge denied ASP's request to bar sales of Guiney's Wind-Up debut, "3 Sides."

As previously reported, ASP is suing Guiney and the recording label for breach-of contract for promoting "3 Sides."

According to the lawsuit, Guiney signed an agreement that he could not promote product unrelated to "The Bachelor" without ASP's permission. ASP claims to have denied Guiney and Wind-Up permission to promote the album.

In December, "3 Sides" peaked at No. 114 on The Billboard 200.
