When it was issued throughout Europe last spring, the album debuted at No. 1 in many countries. It ended the year at No. 2 on the European Top 100 Albums chart, behind only Norah Jones' "Feels Like Home." Between April and September, "Anastacia" logged a total of 14 weeks in the top spot on that tally.
Interestingly, Daylight/Epic serviced the single "Left Outside Alone," co-written with Glen Ballard and Dallas Austin, to U.S. radio stations last May. The track peaked at No. 5 on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart and received some play on dance radio formats.
A number of television appearances are on tap to launch the project in North America, including NBC's "Today" (Aug. 29), CBS' "The Late Show With David Letterman" (Aug. 30) and ABC's "The View" (Aug. 31).
As previously reported, Anastacia's "Everything Burns" featuring Ben Moody is one of the focus tracks from Wind-up's "Fantastic 4" soundtrack, due July 5.
