Atlantic Launches 'Teensation' TV Concerts

Atlantic Records will on March 5 launch the first two in a series of concerts by rising stars such as Debelah Morgan, M2M, Plus One, Willa Ford, and Ashley Ballard. The hour-long shows, taped last month at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Fla., will air via Music Choice, a digital audio service for cable television.

In conjunction, an audio program compiling tracks from the aforementioned artists' albums as well as interview segments will air on Music Choice's Showcase I channel. In April, a second channel will debut with live music from the Hard Rock performances.

The broadcasts will help showcase artists such as Ballard, whose Atlantic debut "Get In The Booth" is scheduled for a May 15 release, and Ford, whose first Lava/Atlantic set is due this summer. Norwegian duo M2M has already enjoyed a top-25 hit on The Billboard Hot 100 with "Don't Say You Love Me," while Plus One's 2000 debut "The Promise" opened at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Contemporary Christian chart.

As for Morgan, her single "Dance With Me" continues to impact across several formats. The track is No. 5 on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles Recurrents chart this week.
