Ataris Ready 'Live' Album

Punk/pop outfit the Ataris will release a concert album, "Live at the Metro," on Feb. 10 via Columbia. The 19-track disc was taped last October at Chicago's Cabaret Metro while the group was touring in support of its 2003 major-label debut, "So Long Astoria." That set debuted at No. 24 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 593,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan.

"Live at the Metro" features 12 electric cuts, including the group's star-making cover of Don Henley's "The Boys of Summer." Their version reached nine different Billboard charts, including a No. 2 mark on the Modern Rock Tracks chart and a No. 20 peak on the Hot 100.

Seven acoustic songs round out the album, including a cover of Elvis Costello's "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love & Understanding" and the group's own "San Dimas High School Football Rules," "The Hero Dies in This One" and "Fast Times at Drop-Out High."

The Ataris begin a three-week European tour Feb. 17 in Dublin.
