The stars came to Cleveland Saturday night as part of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Case Western Reserve University's American Music Masters Tribute Concert to soul legend Aretha Franklin.

A retha Franklin became engaged to longtime friend William "Willie" Wilkerson over the holidays.

 

The Grammy-winning singer told The Associated Press in a statement today (Jan. 2) that she and Wilkerson are considering a summer wedding, perhaps in Miami Beach, Fla. The Queen of Soul wants to follow the ceremony with a reception on a private yacht. The 69 yr old, married twice before, jokes: "No, I'm not pregnant."

 

She is considering Vera Wang, Valentino and Donna Karan to design her dress.

 

On Nov. 5, Aretha Franklin was honored at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Case Western Reserve University's American Music Masters Tribute Concert. Franklin closed the concert with a surprise performance of Leon Russell's "A Song for You," and more.
