Late Friday (Mar. 4), out of the blue, the Arctic Monkeys posted a video for a new song, titled "Brick By Brick," on their YouTube account. Now the British rockers have announced North American and European tour dates to prepare for their upcoming fourth record.

Few details surrounding the Arctic Monkeys' upcoming release -- the follow-up to 2009's "Humbug" -- are known, but the simple but stylish "Brick By Brick" clip reveals a few minor things. The video flashes on a call sheet for early February studio sessions with the Arctic Monkeys and producer James Ford (of Simian Mobile Disco). Footage in and around Los Angeles, where the band reportedly recorded, is also included, as are clips of vinyl records being pressed and played.

The song itself takes a turn toward psychedelic '60s pop, with dramatic tempo changes keeping "Brick By Brick" interesting throughout. Listen to the song in the teaser video below.
