Tyler has long been the subject of "Idol" rumors that have pegged him as a replacement to Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres at the judges table. In a video posted by TMZ last week, Tyler said that the Fox show had to " lay out the bread" to sign him for the show's upcoming 10th season.
Jennifer Lopez has long been rumored to become a judge on the show as well, although Fox may have shifted its attention to country star Shania Twain after negotiations with Lopez stalled, TMZ reported last week. Kara DioGuardi's status with the show is still unkown, while Randy Jackson is expected to return to the judges table next season.
