"American Idol" sent Paige Miles packing on Wednesday night's (Mar. 24) elimination episode, bringing the pool down to the top 10 contestants who will participate in this summer's "Idol" tour.

Miles, who faced a bout of laryngitis last week, struggled again on Tuesday's Billboard No. 1s-themed episode, with a rendition of Phil Collins' "Against All Odds (Take a Look At Me Now)" that Randy Jackson called "honestly terrible." When host Ryan Seacrest announced that Miles had received the lowest amount of votes, Simon Cowell told the 24-year-old Florida native that she would not be singing for the chance to be saved by the judges, as they'd already unanimously decided to send her home. "It's not working," he told Miles. "I don't want to give you any false hope here. It's the end."

"I had a lot of health issues going on out here…bad song choices and things like that," said Miles. "But I still had a blast, and it was a great learning experience." Miles did not sing "Against All Odds" for her farewell performance, instead revisiting Free's 'All Right Now" from top 24 week.

Joining Miles in the bottom three were Tim Urban, who was making his second consecutive trip there, and Katie Stevens, whose fate was met with loud boos from the live audience at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre. Stevens was quickly sent back, followed by Urban; both will join their fellow season 9 top 10 finalists for the "American Idol" live tour this summer.

Top 12 mentor Miley Cyrus returned to perform "When I Look at You," the latest single from her "Time of Our Lives" EP. The "Hannah Montana" star acknowledged to Seacrest that the top 12 performance night had been less than stellar. "The room was a little heavy at points," she said. Cyrus' fellow Disney stars, Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato, also appeared on "Idol" to perform their current duet, "Make a Wave."

Usher will mentor the "Idol" top 10 next Tuesday (Mar. 30) for an R&B/soul themed performance night.
