"America's Got Talent" winner Michael Grimm proposed to his girlfriend during a Thursday taping of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

In the middle of their interview, DeGeneres called Lucy Zolcerova, who has been dating the Mississippi-blues singer for nearly three years, to the stage from the audience. Grimm got down on one knee, and she said yes. The episode airs Friday.

Grimm, who won $1 million Wednesday on the NBC show, also told DeGeneres that Zolcerova was the inspiration for his performance of "When a Man Loves a Woman" during Tuesday's finals.

"She's been there for me," Grimm told DeGeneres. "Once you find that good woman, you hang on to her."
