Alter Bridge will headline the sixth Jaegermeister Music Tour, which begins March 29 at Irving Plaza in New York. Also on the bill are Epic rock act Future Leaders of the World and Alter Bridge's Wind-Up labelmate Submersed.
Past Jaeger tours have featured Slayer, Slipknot, Hatebreed, Saliva, hed P.E., Drowning Pool, and Ill Nino, but this time around, the artists lean more toward mainstream rock than metal.
"We wanted to kind of mix it up a little bit," says Rick Zeiler, director of marketing and brand development for Sidney Frank Importing Co., which distributes Jaegermeister in the U.S.
The run will play about 22 dates, including several markets that are hosting the Jaeger Music Tour for the first time. Another outing is in the works for the later this year, about which Zeiler would only say, ""We're coming back this fall with something monumental."
Alter Bridge has also signed on to open several shows for 3 Doors Down this spring, some of which will occur on off-days from the Jaeger trek. The group is presently in the midst of a European tour that hits Manchester, England, tomorrow (March 3).
