Alabama Shakes' debut album will arrive on April 10, the buzzed-about band has revealed. The retro-leaning blues-rock act, led by big-voiced, bespectacled singer Brittany Howard, self-produced the 11-track "Boys & Girls," which will arrive on ATO.

The band first turned heads at last year's CMJ New Music Festival, where its Bowery Ballroom set left the audience "literally screaming for joy," according to the New York Times.

Aside from a four-track EP released via Bandcamp in September, the album will be the band's first major effort. It'll arrive after a 7" single released by Jack White's Third Man Records, due later this month.

The band will preview its forthcoming effort with a slate of shows at the SXSW festival in March as well as a club tour that will take them through the U.S. and a three-night run in London.
