AFI Eyeing Spring Tour

California-based goth-leaning rock act AFI is finalizing an early 2004 touring schedule that includes February and March dates with support acts Coheed And Cambria, Thursday and A Static Lullaby.

The tour will kick off Feb. 18 with a gig at the Bakersfield, Calif., Convention Center, and continue through March 9, with many of the dates and locations yet to be nailed down. Other cities the outing will hit include Atlanta; Tulsa, Okla.; Memphis; Nashville; Pensacola, Fla.; Jacksonville, Fla.; Ft. Myers, Fla.; Pompano Beach, Fla. and Orlando, Fla.

Coheed And Cambria and A Static Lullaby will support all dates between Feb. 18 and Feb. 24, after which the latter will be replaced by Thursday.

AFI is touring behind its sixth album and DreamWorks debut "Sing the Sorrow," which debuted in March at No. 5 on The Billboard 200. The album has sold 692,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan; single "Girl's Not Grey" hit No. 7 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart in April.

Feb. 18: Bakersfield, Calif. (Convention Center)
Feb. 21: San Bernardino, Calif. (National Orange Show)
Feb. 28: Atlanta (Tabernacle)
March 1: Pensacola, Fla. (Bayfront Auditorium)
March 2: Jacksonville, Fla. (Plush)
