Show host and judge Donald Trump announced the winner at the end of a two-hour episode, which aired last night (March 27).
Morgan's charity, the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, which supports members of the Armed Forces and their families, will receive $250,000 as a result of his win.
Adkins performed "You're Gonna Miss This," which is currently at No. 2 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs, live on the show. For the next two weeks, a live version of the song is available for download at iTunes.com, with proceeds benefiting his charity, FAAN (Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network). Adkins' six-year-old daughter is afflicted with food allergies.
Adkins was a favorite among many of the other dozen contestants, which included Tiffany Fallon, Gene Simmons, Carol Alt, Stephen Baldwin and Marilu Henner, among others. All but Simmons, who was filming a movie in Japan, returned for the finale.
While Trump called Adkins a "special guy" and "a friend," he ultimately rewarded Morgan for his fundraising abilities at various charity events, including a concert and auction in New York that featured the Backstreet Boys.
