Adele's "21" (XL Recordings) started the 11th week of its U.K. reign yesterday (Sunday) to achieve the longest consecutive run at No. 1 for a studio album by a solo artist in British chart history. Jennifer Lopez' "On The Floor" (Def Jam/Universal), featuring Pitbull, claimed a second week atop the singles survey. 

"21" also recorded sales in excess of 100,000 last week for the 11th week in a row. Elvis Presley twice recorded longer runs at the U.K. album summit than Adele's current sequence, but with soundtrack releases: 17 weeks at No. 1 for "Blue Hawaii" in 1962 and 12 for "G.I. Blues" the year before. "21," certified seven-times platinum for U.K. shipments of 2.1 million, has now topped the U.K. chart for longer than any album since the Bob Marley and the Wailers compilation "Legend" led the way for its first 12 weeks on the chart from May to August 1984. 

Adele's previous album "19" was, however, nudged out of the No. 2 spot on the new chart by U.K. starlet Katy B's debut set "On A Mission" (Rinse Recordings/Columbia/Sony Music Entertainment). "21" moved down to No. 3 as Rihanna's "Loud" (Def Jam/Universal) edged back 5-4 and U.K. breakthrough artist Jessie J's "Who You Are" (Lava/Universal Island) 9-5.

Michael Bublé's enduring "Crazy Love" (Reprise/Warner Music), now in its 77th U.K. chart week and eight times platinum, jumped again 12-7. Also climbing again were Bruno Mars' "Doo Wops & Hooligans"  (Elektra/Atlantic/Warner Music), 11-8, and Elbow's "Build A Rocket Boys!" (Fiction/Polydor/Universal), 14-9. Scottish indie-rock band Glasvegas debuted at No. 10 with "Euphoric Heartbreak" (Columbia/Sony Music Entertainment). 

There was a new entry atop the compilation chart for the TV-advertised  "Ultimate Floorfillers" (All Around The World/UMTV/EMI TV), followed by another debut at No. 2 for "Addicted To Bass 2011" (Ministry of Sound). The multi-artist "Songs For Japan" benefit (EMI TV/Sony Music Entertainment/Warner Music) climbed 15-3.

Lopez' second week at No. 1 with "On The Floor" is also a personal milestone, as her third U.K. chart-topping single but the first to spend more than a week at the summit. The Official Charts Company puts her total U.K. singles sales at three million. 

"Party Rock Anthem" (Interscope/Universal) by LMFAO featuring Lauren Bennett and Goonrock moved up 3-2 on the singles chart to trade places with Adele's "Someone Like You." Black Eyed Peas' "Just Can't Get Enough" (Interscope/Universal) held at No. 4 as Katy Perry's "E.T." (Virgin/EMI), featuring Kanye West, climbed 12-5. "Buzzin" (Def Jam/Universal) by Mann featuring 50 Cent improved 11-6 and Snoop Dogg's "Sweat" (Capitol/EMI) 16-9.
