Adele usually shares her relationship drama through her chart-topping songs -- but the singer took to her blog to defend boyfriend Simon Konecki after rumors swirled that he was still married to his ex.

"This is the first and last time I will comment on the details of my relationship with Simon," Adele wrote on Tuesday. "Contrary to reports and headlines in the press today, Simon is divorced and has been for 4 years. Everyone in our lives separately and together wish us nothing but the best, and vice versa. These are the facts. Take care and see you all in February xx."

Her response came after media outlets including the Daily Mail reported that Konecki, apparently father to a 5-year-old daughter, was in "the process of divorcing" after a 2010 split with his wife.

Adele, whose "21" matched the "Titanic" soundtrack's 1998 chart run this week with 16 weeks atop the Billboard 200, has been absent from the music world in recent weeks while recovering from throat surgery. The UK singer is expected to make her live return at the Brit Awards on Feb. 21.
