Days after his new single "Time for Miracles" hit the internet, Adam Lambert premiered the music video for the song, which is featured on the upcoming soundtrack to the film "2012."

Lambert's music video is laden with special effects and clips from "2012," due in theaters Nov. 13. Sporting longer hair and head-to-toe black attire, the "American Idol" finalist sings from a rooftop and walks through city streets riddled with chaos and destruction, in a nod to the film's apocalyptic theme.

While "Time for Miracles" is Lambert's first official single since "American Idol," it is not the lead single for his forthcoming debut album "For Your Entertainment," now due Nov. 23. That song is expected to premiere in the next few weeks, according to a rep for the singer.

On Monday (Oct. 19), Lambert posted several updates to his Twitter account revealing another A-list collaborator for his new album.  "I spent yesterday in the studio with the insanely talented and creative Lady Gaga recording a song that she wrote!" Lambert Tweeted. "I love her."

Explaining how the studio session came about, Lambert wrote, "Gaga wrote the song a while ago and she thought it would be a good fit for me. It's a solo track. I feel so honored and lucky to be asked."

"Gaga just gets it, ya know?" Lambert added.

In addition to Gaga, Lambert has hit the studio with fellow pop artist Pink and a host of other hitmakers, including Rob Cavallo, Max Martin, Linda Perry, Claude Kelly, "Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi and Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald.
