Adam Horovitz is about to pass the mic to his dad.

The Beastie Boys MC, better known as Ad-Rock, will reportedly score off-Broadway play "Gloucester Blue." The play is the latest work of his father, Israel Horovitz, and debuts in New York City on Nov. 16.

According to Broadway World, Horovitz will provide "original sound" for the play, a black comedy about a dramatic homecoming. The elder Horovitz is a celebrated writer, with two Obie Awards and over 70 plays to his name.

The Beastie Boys' latest, "Hot Sauce Committee Part Two," was released in April on Capitol Records, bowing at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
