30 Seconds To Mars has won the Cingular Sound Off Contest, voted on by the wireless company's users. The group edged out a field that also featured Angels & Airwaves, Blue October, IMA Robot, the Pink Spiders and Red Jumpsuit Apparatus for the right to perform tomorrow (Sept. 7) atop the marquee at New York's Radio City Music Hall as part of the Fashion Rocks concert.
The show will be streamed beginning Saturday via Blueroom.ATT.com; exclusive video clips will be available shortly thereafter to Cingular 3G customers.
30 Seconds To Mars, which last week won an MTV2 Award for its song "The Kill" at the MTV Video Music Awards, is expected to announce a fall North American tour this week.
For now, the lone dates on the group's schedule are festival appearances at KROQ's Inland Invasion (Sept. 23, Devore, Calif.), Edgefest (Sept. 30, Tempe, Ariz.) and Bamboozle Left (Oct. 15, Pomona, Calif.)
