With the steadily growing appeal of its single "Come On," Green River Ordinance establishes itself as a pop-rock act to keep an eye on in 2010. Singer Josh Jenkins' yearning, honest vocal tone bears a resemblance to that of Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz, which makes lines like, "I just wanna be the hand you hold when you're cryin'," go down easily. The song further benefits from uplifting guitars, a striking melody and relatable lyrics co-written by Jenkins with his bandmates Jamey and Geoff Ice, Joshua Wilkerson and Denton Hunter.
