Snow Patrol

Irish/Scottish alt-rockers Snow Patrol may be best known to some "as that band that does 'Chasing Cars'," says frontman Gary Lightbody, but in fact, they have 15 years and five studio albums under their belts, as well as a trove of material from side projects that is virtually unknown in the U.S. To spotlight the full story of their career, Snow Patrol has released "Up To Now" -- a 30-track, double album of their favorite singles, album tracks, covers and a handful of new songs including "Just Say Yes," which Lightbody says "point to the future" of the band and its musical direction.

"We wanted to put it all in an easy-to-access anthology," says Lightbody. "Not a full-stop, or a greatest hits -- we've only had a couple of hits, so we wouldn't be so bold as to think that now is the time to start celebrating a career that's reached its peak. We have so much more to offer." In this video Q&A with Billboard.com, Lightbody talks about the new collection, Snow Patrol's recent tour including 20 dates supporting U2, and his band's tendency towards bizarre injury. Also see excerpts of the video for "Just Say Yes," as well as the band's 2008 hit "Take Back the City".
