Las Vegas Spotlight: Lil Jon

Lil Jon showed his love for Las Vegas in a photoshoot at Surrender Nightclub inside Encore Las Vegas, which we featured in our recent Billboard Music Awards special issue (photo shown above). Now we go behind the scenes at the shoot with the crunk master and in-demand club DJ, who was recently voted off "The Celebrity Apprentice" after a strong showing and will invade Billboard headquarters on Friday (May 20) for a live Q&A.

Jon gives us the scoop on what makes Vegas great from a DJ's point of view: "I love Vegas cuz everybody who comes to hear me DJ is ready to party. Nowhere else in America is everyone really ready to get outta their minds. No pun intended, like my song. Vegas is that place. I love playing at Surrender because they let me be free and be myself… it's family, you know? When I check in at the Encore, they're like, 'Welcome back, sir.' I'm back home, it's like my second home."

He also dishes on what makes a killer DJ set at Encore, as well as the story behind Usher's smash hit "Yeah," which Lil Jon produced, cowrote and rapped on. Watch below, and check out the Billboard Music Awards, airing live from -- but of course -- Las Vegas this Sunday (May 22) at 8pm ET on ABC.
