Jazmine Sullivan

Jazmine Sullivan, Title TBD (J Records)
Release Date: Summer 2010

Jazmine Sullivan is one album into her promising music career but the singer/songwriter is already well aware of the disadvantages of being a celebrity. "Come on y'all, let's be real/Never spoke to me till I got a deal/You don't know me but you do me favors/I don't know you so I see you later," the sassy 21-year-old songstress sings on "Blow," a track scheduled for her upcoming sophomore album. "Vanity Six," produced by Carlos "Los Da Mystro" McKinney, is an ode to Prince. "Just play my favorite song, get my '86 on/Don't make me wait too long, just play my favorite song/I'll get my Vanity Six on," she chants over drums and horns. "You Get on My Nerves," produced by Ne-Yo, finds Sullivan smugly pointing out to an ex-lover, "You should never have to call pretending/You should have known I was done when I busted your windows," in reference to her 2009 hit single, "Bust Your Windows."
