While the Goo Goo Dolls' ninth studio effort, "Something For The Rest Of Us," isn't due until August, the band has released its new single "Home" (available now through iTunes) to tide over fans. Not enough for you? Good news, there's a music video for "Home," directed by Devin Sarno, and you can only get it here at Billboard.com.

What twentysomething who grew up with a decade of hook-heavy rock can't claim a certain intangible fondness for the Goo Goo Dolls? The pop-alternative trio created part of the soundtrack to the late nineties with their No. 2 pop single "Name" and Billboard No. 1 Pop hits "Iris" and "Slide" and has charted with every album since.

"Something For The Rest Of Us" seeks to confront many of the social issues we face today according to lead vocalist and guitarist John Rzeznik. "So many people are struggling to keep it together through tough economic conditions and two wars that seem to have no end in sight," says Rzeznik, "the ones who bear the brunt of these burdens are everyday people. That's who I want to speak to." The record was produced by Tim Palmer who has manned the boards for acts like U2, Pearl Jam and David Bowie, with additional production by Butch Vig (Green Day, Nirvana, Foo Fighters) and John Fields (Paul Westerberg, Jimmy Eat World).

"Something For The Rest Of Us" is the follow-up to the band's 2006 release, "Let Love In," which debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200. The Goo Goo Dolls took to the road at the start of this month for a 37-date US tour in anticipation of the album.

Here is the tracklisting for "Something For The Rest Of Us":

"Notbroken"
"One Night"
"Nothing Is Real"
"Now I Hear"
"Still Your Song"
