A Cobra Starship interview is often like an episode of frontman Gabe Saporta's favorite TV show, "Gossip Girl" -- full of jokes, drama and throw-your-hands-up plot twists. In the case of Billboard.com's latest sit down with the New Jersey power-pop rockers, Saporta was jet-lagged from a trip to Japan -- causing him to make one mighty suspicious Freudian slip -- and bassist Alex Suarez broke into an impromptu rendition of Sean Kingston's "Fire Burning," the guys' favorite song of the summer.
Their other favorite? Naturally, it's "Good Girls Go Bad," the lead single on Cobra Starship's new album "Hot Mess," out Tuesday (Aug. 11) on Epic. The song, which features "Gossip" star-turned-singer Leighton Meester, cracked the Top 10 of this week's Billboard Hot 100 chart, and the album's title track is the soon-to-be second single.
