LOCKE-ING UP THE CHART: Second season "American Idol" finalist Kimberley Locke makes her first appearance on a Billboard chart under her own name, as "Silver Bells" (RCA), a holiday duet with "Idol" runner-up Clay Aiken, debuts at No. 22 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary tally.
Locke placed third in the second-season "Idol" competition, making her the highest-ranked female singer. She has charted with other contestants, credited as American Idol Finalists on the singles "God Bless the U.S.A." and "What the World Needs Now Is Love."
"Silver Bells" appears on the album "American Idol: The Great Holiday Classics," along with Aiken's "The First Noel," which also debuts on the AC chart, at No. 19.
Locke signed with Curb Records in September. The label has sent her first single, "8th World Wonder," to radio and is planning to promote it heavily in January.
