The duet is the 98th Twitty song to chart. It marks the second posthumous debut for the artist, who last charted with "I'm the Only Thing (I'll Hold Against You)" in 1993. That song debuted just a few weeks after Twitty died on June 5 of that year.
The Cochran-Twitty teaming puts a posthumous song on the country chart for the first time since the week of Oct. 2, 1999, when "There He Goes" by Patsy Cline with John Berry debuted and peaked at No. 70.
TOYING WITH US: A member of a famous family returns to Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart, but you might not know it by looking at the chart.
Debuting at No. 42 is "Just Wanna Dance" (Ja-Tal) by Toy. You know her better as LaToya Jackson, the fifth-born of the nine Jackson children and thus sister to Michael, Janet, Jermaine and the other five Jacksons.
LaToya was last on this chart in 1984 with "Hot Potato," which peaked at No. 38. She had two previous club play chart entries: "If You Feel the Funk" (No. 17 in 1980) and "Bet'cha Gonna Need My Lovin'" (No. 55 in 1983).
LaToya's most recent appearance on a Billboard music chart was with "You're Gonna Get Rocked," which reached No. 66 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles tally in November 1988.
YIELDING TO TEMPTATIONS: Motown's most legendary quintet returns to The Billboard 200 this week with "Legacy," new at No. 163. It is the 47th album by the Temptations to appear on the chart, and the first since "My Girl: The Very Best of the Temptations" peaked at No. 167 in May 2002.
"Legacy" is the first new Temptations' studio album to chart since "Awesome" went to No. 140 in December 2001.
The first album by the Temptations to chart was on the tally 40 years ago this week. "Meet the Temptations" debuted the week of May 9, 1964, ultimately peaking at No. 95.
On the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, "Legacy" enters at an impressive No. 18. That's the highest debut and peak position for a Temptations album since "Ear-Resistible" bowed and peaked at No. 16 the week of June 3, 2000.
TENACIOUS G: Gretchen Wilson's "Redneck Woman," the first No. 1 by a solo female on Billboard's Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart since Martina McBride's "Blessed" in March 2002, is in its fifth week in the pole position. That means "Redneck Woman" is tied with Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance" as the longest-running No. 1 by a solo female since December1999-January 2000, when Faith Hill's "Breathe" was on top for six weeks.
ONE MORE FOR THE KING: For the fourth consecutive year, an Elvis Presley single debuts on Billboard's Hot 100 Single Singles Sales chart. The 50th anniversary edition of "That's All Right" (BMG Special Markets Group) is new at No. 11.
In 2001, Presley's rendition of "America the Beautiful" became his first title to appear on this chart, peaking at No. 6. In 2002, the remixed "A Little Less Conversation" spent three weeks at No. 1. In 2003, a remix of "Rubberneckin'" spent two weeks at No. 1.
