Chart Beat Wednesday: Carrie Underwood, Kings Of Leon, Miley Cyrus

Carrie Underwood blasts back onto Country Songs, Kings Of Leon ascend to the summits of two charts and Miley Cyrus soars on Pop Songs.

With Carrie Underwood's "Cowboy Casanova" single blasting to No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 in two weeks -- and calling out two-timing country boys everywhere -- anticipation for the Nov. 3 release of her new album, "Play On," is officially in full swing. Now, before you can hear it anywhere else, Billboard.com has an exclusive preview of "Mama's Song," a new track from "Play On" that finds a more serious-minded Underwood thanking her mother for teaching her some important life lessons.

"You've given me everything that I will need / To make it through this crazy thing called life," Underwood sings on "Mama's Song." "And I know you watched me grow up and only want what's best for me / And I think I found the answer to your prayers."

"Play On" reunites Underwood with longtime producer Mark Bright and writer Brett James, but it also finds her branching out a bit. The "American Idol" winner teamed up with Mike Elizondo (Eminem, Dr. Dre) to co-write "Cowboy Casanova" with James, and she's also been working with pop hitmakers Kara DioGuardi and Max Martin.

Underwood's 2007 album, "Carnival Ride," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and went on to spend 96 weeks on the chart. It has sold 2,954,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
