1000 No. 1s Video Series Day 31:
Tommy Page Talk About Topping the Hot 100

2011 was the year that Billboard celebrated the 1000th No. 1 song on the Hot 100. As we look back on this year in music, we're celebrating that milestone with a month-long series of videos --- one for each day of December -- chatting with 31 of the hitmakers who rocketed to the top of the chart since its inception in 1958. SEE THE FULL CHART HERE.

On the last day of our 1,000 Hot No. 1s video series, we move on from yesterday's R&B foursome of Boyz II Men and jump over to an early '90s No. 1 love song as we chat with Billboard's Associate Publisher, Endemic, Tommy Page about "I'll Be Your Everything." "I was in my house. I knew some where around two in the afternoon the chart data was going to be figured out and when I got the phone call from him, he went 'Tommy.' And the fact that it [his voice] went up I knew that I did it," Page says. "I didn't even hear what he had to say. I screamed. I dropped the phone and I started to cry. I looked up the sky and I thought, 'So I did it. This was my dream come true and I'm 21 yrs. old. What do I do now?"

"My whole life I dreamed of having a No. 1 record, ever since I could remember getting into music. I wanted to be on top of the Billboard charts," Page says of "I'll Be Your Everything," which peaked at No. 1 on April 14, 1990. "When I was signed to Warner Bros., I thought, 'One day I'll make it onto the charts and wouldn't it be amazing to be on top of the Hot 100." Tommy Page made another one of his dreams come true when the former A&R executive and Vice President of Top 40 Promotion joined Billboard as Associate Publisher, Endemic, on June 20. "Billboard is a brand that I believed in all my life," Page says. "So to now be working for this incredible brand is a dream come true for me."
