1000 No. 1s Video Series Day 2:
Hanson Talk About Topping the Hot 100

2011 was the year that Billboard celebrated the 1000th No. 1 song on the Hot 100. As we look back on this year in music, we're celebrating that milestone with a month-long series of videos --- one for each day of December -- chatting with 31 of the hitmakers who rocketed to the top of the chart since its inception in 1958. SEE THE FULL CHART HERE.

On day two of our 1,000 Hot No. 1s video series, kicked off yesterday (Dec. 1) with Kelly Clarkson, we chat with Hanson about their No. 1 -- 1997's "MmmBop." "There are certain things that define success in the industry and [a] Billboard [No. 1] is one of those things," Zac Hanson tells Billboard of "MmmBop" (below).

Hanson -- consisting of brothers, Clarke Issac, Jordan Taylor and Zac Walker -- shattered the sophomore slump curse when their first single off their sophomore album, "Middle of Nowhere," peaked at No. 1. The year of 1997 was a memorable one for the trio. The success of "MmmBop" led Hanson to three Grammy Awards in 1998 and a sold out U.S. tour.

Be sure to come back tomorrow (Dec. 3) for the next 1000 No. 1s video: B.o.B Talks "Nothin' But You."
