Paramore and Weezer are the first acts confirmed to headline the 2010 Bamboozle music festival in New Jersey, slated for May 1-2 at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford. Paramore will headline day one of the fest, while Weezer will take the stage on day two. The remaining Bamboozle New Jersey lineup will be announced in the coming weeks.
After wrapping up a U.S. tour for its third album, "Brand New Eyes" -- which has sold 303,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan -- Paramore kicks off a European trek today (Dec. 1) in Copenhagen, Denmark. The pop-punk outfit premiered the music video for its new single, "Brick by Boring Brick," last week.
Veteran rock band Weezer is also touring in support of its new release, "Raditude." Appropriately, the band's seventh studio album recently debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and has sold 98,000 copies.
Pre-sale tickets for Bamboozle New Jersey will be available on Friday (Dec. 4). The 2009 installment of the Live Nation-produced festival, held May 2-3 at Giants Stadium, drew a combined 33,550 attendees and grossed $1,705,910, according to Billboard Boxscore.
No headliners have been announced yet for Bamboozle's West Coast dates in Anaheim, Calif., where the festival is scheduled for Mar. 27-28.
