Justin Bieber lands atop the latest Hot Tours ranking with grosses reported from the final leg of his My World Tour which wrapped in October.  The tour's final trek was through South American markets, kicking off in Rio de Janerio at the Estádio Olímpico João Havelange, the venue that will host athletics competitions during the 2016 Summer Olympics.  Bieber played the stadium on Oct. 5-6, grossing $4.6 million (US$) from a total of 46,533 sold tickets during the two-show stint.  Following the Rio performances, the Canadian pop star appeared at the Z Festival in São Paulo, held at the 67,000-seat Estádio do Morumbi on Oct. 8-9, and then played his final show in Brazil the following evening in the city of Porto Alegre at Estádio Beira-Rio.  Also included in this week's totals is an Oct. 17 concert at the Estadio Nacional in Lima, Peru and the My World Tour's final performance on Oct. 19 in Venezuela.  The tour wrapped in Caracas at the stadium at Universidad Simón Bolivar.  With a crowd of 13,039 in attendance, the final performance grossed just over $4 million (US$).

Eric Clapton is the No. 2 act on Hot Tours with sales totals from performances in South America.  His ranking is based on $8.1 million in grosses from the South American leg of his 2011 tour that kicked off in Brazil on Oct. 6. The rock legend played at the Fiergs event center complex in Porto Alegre to a crowd of 19,159, generating $2.3 million (US$) in ticket sales.  On Oct. 9, Clapton began a two-show run in Rio de Janeiro at the HSBC Arena followed by a single performance in São Paulo at the Estádio do Morumbi on Oct. 12.  Combined attendance for both nights in Rio was 18,127, and the crowd in São Paulo was just under 38,000.

With a No. 3 ranking, Ricky Martin continues this week's Latin American presence on Hot Tours with box office totals reported from concerts in Venezuela, Costa Rica and Mexico as well as a performance in Puerto Rico. With more than $5 million in grosses, Martin drew a total of 37,739 fans to six shows, beginning with three events in Venezuela in early October.  On the 1st, he played an outdoor concert at the Universidad Simón Bolivar in Caracas, followed by performances in Valencia on Oct. 4 and Maracaibo on Oct. 7.  After the shows in Venezuela, the singer performed in San José, Costa Rica at the Estadio Ricardo Saprissa Aymá on the 12th and in Mexico City at the Auditorio Nacional on Nov. 2.  The concert in Puerto Rico was on Nov. 12 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in the San Juan suburb of Hato Rey.
