Before Dave Matthews Band takes a break from the road next year, the group will embark on a 12-date arena tour in November. The East Coast run will kick off Nov. 2 in Buffalo, NY and make two-night stops at Boston's TD Garden and New York's Madison Square Garden.

DMB will also stop by New Orleans tonight (Sept. 9) to perform at "NFL Opening Kickoff 2010 Presented by EA Sports," the pregame show to the NFL's opening regular season contest between the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings. The band is slated to play at 7:30 P.M. EST on NBC and the NFL Network.

The upcoming tour follows the band's announcement last May that they would be taking 2011 off from the road, marking the first substantial touring break in the band's 20-year career. Matthews told Billboard.com that the hiatus would let him "recharge my creative juices and sort of not have the safety net of touring… and just see what my head comes up with."

Amos Lee, the Punch Brothers, John Butler Trio and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue will open for Dave Matthews Band on various dates of the trek. Tickets for the tour go on sale Sept. 24, with an online ticket request period beginning tonight at 6:00 P.M. EST.
