Rockabilly legend Wanda Jackson has experienced a resurgence of sorts over the past few years, spurred on no doubt by White Stripe/Raconteur Jack White's guiding influence.

All of this came to a head last night on the "Late Show with David Letterman," on which Jackson performed. Flanked by White and the tenacious Third Man backing band, the First Lady of Rockabilly covered Johnny Kidd and the Pirates' "Shakin' All Over" with all vibrant energy that the 73-year-old could muster.

White is at his bandleading-best here, pulling his band out of its many lulls and ripping out a fiery guitar solo.

This comes on the heels of the release of Jackson's "Thunder on the Mountain" video, also featuring White, earlier this week. The song, a Dylan cover, features the same furious picking and horn-infused glee of "Shakin' All Over." If these two tracks are any indication, Jackson's Jan. 25 release, "The Party Ain't Over," is going to be a big release.
