Videos of the Week: Gaga's 'Telephone' Bashed, Usher Seeks 'Lil Freak,' Miley Mentors 'Idol'

Lady Gaga

In this week's viral videos that had everyone buzzing, Lady Gaga's "Telephone" video gets the parody treatment, Usher and Nicki Minaj debut the racy video for their "Lil Freak" collabo, Miley Cyrus mentors "American Idol," and more.

1) Lady Gaga's 'Telephone' Gets Roasted

Not everyone's buying into the Lady Gaga "Telephone" video hype. In this parody version, a faux-Gaga sings, "I will distract them by getting half naked, and throw everything at them but the kitchen sink, sink...the kitchen sink, sink...what do you think, think...I will prove that I don't have a penis, wink wink." Oh, snap.

Bonus Amateur Brilliance: This reworked version of "I'll Be Watching You" (full disclosure: it's made by a former Billboard.com intern) is for those still reminiscing about the days when Conan O'Brien hosted "The Tonight Show." (Watch)

2) Usher & Nicki Minaj Get Their 'Freak' On

Usher brings out the dirty talker in Nicki Minaj with this racy video for his new single "Lil Freak," which is basically like a more strip clubby version of the video for "Yeah!"

Bonus Cameo: Shaquille O'Neal and Owl City in the same sentence: now possible, thanks to the NBA star's inexplicable appearance in Adam Young's new video for "Vanilla Twilight." (Watch)

3) Phish In 3-D

Thousands of hippies, swaying feverishly to three hour-plus jam sessions like you've never seen them before! "Phish 3D," the veteran band's new live documentary, was filmed during the band's three-day Festival 8 last fall.

Bonus Trailer: The new promo for "Glee" (which returns to TV in 19 days -- not that we're counting down or anything) offers a taste of Leah Michele singing "Like a Prayer" for the much-hyped episode featuring the music of Madonna. (Watch)

4) Miley Cyrus Mentors 'Idol'

The Disney star would probably lose a sing-off to "American Idol" alum Adam Lambert, but luckily for her (and most unluckily for the rest of us), this season's contestants are a whole different story. After mentoring the top 11, Cyrus showed them how it's really done with a performance of her latest single, "When I Look At You."

Bonus TV Gig: Star-on-the-rise Melanie Fiona takes her No. 1 R&B hit "It Kills Me" to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." ( Watch)

5) Justin Bieber: He Blow-Dries His Hair, Just Like Us

Dying to know how Justin Bieber shapes his hair into that impeccable swoop? No? Well too bad, because MTV thinks you are.

Bonus Biebermania: He's on "Nightline"! No wait, he's on "The View"! Now he's on "Letterman"! Um, "106 & Park"? (Watch, Watch, Watch, Watch)
