The Flaming Lips

Wayne Coyne and the rest of The Flaming Lips brought their acclaimed live show to "The Late Show With David Letterman" last night (July 28), performing the psychedelic track "See the Leaves" from October's "Embryonic" release.

Bringing all new meaning to "hard-hitting drums," a hardly-groomed Coyne ferociously banged on the cymbals throughout the set while Steven Drozd took his falsetto to new heights. The highlight, however, was Dave's final exclamation of, "It's like my lips are on fire!"!

"Embryonic" has sold 103,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen Soundscan.
